Kwan is the founder and lead designer of Bliss in Bloom, a luxury Charleston wedding florist specializing in editorial, fine-art floral design for bespoke weddings and elevated celebrations throughout the Lowcountry.
Born and raised in Thailand, Kwan’s foundation in floristry was shaped early within her family’s flower wholesale and floral design business—where craftsmanship, discipline, and stewardship were foundational to the work. This heritage continues to inform a design philosophy rooted in intentionality, restraint, and reverence for natural beauty.
Since 2014, Bliss in Bloom has grown exclusively through word of mouth, serving Charleston, Kiawah Island, and coastal South Carolina with refined floral compositions that feel timeless, art-driven, and deeply considered. Each event is approached as a visual narrative—layered, architectural, and thoughtfully composed to complement both place and purpose.
Guided by faith-rooted values, Kwan believes beauty is purposeful. Her work honors the covenant of marriage through floral artistry that is elevated yet meaningful—never excessive, always intentional.
Each event is curated with care, creating floral experiences that feel editorial, emotive, and enduring—crafted one bloom at a time.
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
Chris is the co-founder and engineering lead of Bliss in Bloom, overseeing the structural design and technical execution behind the studio’s most ambitious floral installations. On event days, he is often found at the highest point of the build—ensuring every suspended element, installation, and mechanic is executed with precision, safety, and structural integrity.
Known for his calm confidence and meticulous attention to detail, Chris brings both ingenuity and reliability to every project. His role ensures that each installation is not only visually striking, but thoughtfully engineered and flawlessly executed.
Chris and Kwan met in Thailand during a mission trip to Cambodia in 2010 and were married on November 11, 2011, in Thailand. Their shared values of service, faith, and craftsmanship continue to shape the foundation of Bliss in Bloom.
Beyond floral engineering, Chris is the founder of TechNTools, where his technical expertise extends into digital systems and web development. He is the creative force behind Bliss in Bloom’s website and technological infrastructure.
When not onsite or behind the screen, Chris enjoys exploring specialty coffee and refining the art of a well-crafted bourbon cocktail. A lifelong learner, he also taught himself to read and write Thai—entirely through self-study.
At Bliss in Bloom, we believe florals are more than adornment—they set the emotional tone of a wedding day. They frame sacred moments, guide the guest experience, and transform spaces into environments that are felt as deeply as they are seen.
Our work is inspired by nature in its most organic form—movement, texture, and rhythm—refined through an editorial lens and executed with precision and care. We allow each bloom a moment to shine, approaching every placement with intention so that compositions feel balanced, thoughtful, and quietly expressive.
Within our studio, designers are trained to approach flowers with the sensitivity of a bee moving through a garden—attentive to form, scale, and natural flow. This philosophy honors the integrity of each bloom, allowing arrangements to feel fluid, immersive, and in harmony with their surroundings rather than imposed upon them.
We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every event receives our full creative focus. The result is floral artistry that feels elevated yet natural—curated yet alive—crafted with restraint, reverence, and care.
